I know the French league isn't brilliant, but I don't think I've ever watched a game where the bloke hasn't scored.
With better players behind him he'd smash them in and I think he's going at a goal a game this season.

V - I know in your fantasy world we should simply train our players to become better, but I really don't think the players around the £15m mark will improve us much. If you're buying British, then you looking at your Jodan Ibe's/Andros Townsend/Jo Allen's of this world (based on last summers window), and I really don't think any of them are better than what we already have.

I think that's part of the problem. I think the danger is that you might spend that amount or more on a player who is barely much better than a cut-price bargain. If we get stuck too much in that middle-ground we could waste an enormous amount of money very quickly achieving next to nothing.

All signings I would have been against. Saying £20m is a reckless amount to be spending is not the same as saying that every player under £20m is worth buying. You can waste money on bad players at any spending level.

The amount of clubs who have over 10 players earning 5 million (and the rest) quid a year is silly.
I imagine Man City's yearly wage bill must be about 200 million.

If we do not spend (which we currently don't) it just gives Sugo large annual dividends and a MASSIVE windfall when they sell. What 'true' supporter endorses that happening?
